The Return of the Caracal CC10 9mm Carbine at the 2016 SHOT Show

The Caracal CC10 Carbine rises again, sort of.

The handy 9mm blaster was originally introduced several years ago, but few made it to U.S. shores. A recall of Caracal pistols evidently slowed the company’s ability to introduce new products, and the CC10 has languished.

At the 2016 SHOT Show Caracal USA brought examples to the Industry Day at the range and promised that a version made in the U.S. will be available starting in 2016.

Whatever the history of Caracal and the carbine, it is a fun gun to shoot. The example I tried had a nice heft to it, fed reliably, and had a decent trigger and good sights. A rail allows the shooter to mount a red dot or other optic. One bad point is the carbine will only feed from proprietary Caracal pistol mags. The mags do hold 18 rounds with 10 round versions also available.

With a MSRP of $650 and a street price that will likely be noticeably lower, the Caracal CC10 may become a good choice for 9mm plinker.

In the video a Caracal USA rep goes through the features of the Caracal CC10.
