Triple Aught Design: Pursuit Half-Zip
Jon Stokes 09.16.14
Triple Aught is one of my favorite gear makers right now, and they’ve just announced a slick-looking, half-zip, wool sweater called the Pursuit.
The Pursuit has a high fashion design aesthetic wrapped in performance base layer technology. Made from Polartec® Power Dry wicking polyester, our Pursuit Half-Zip features a host of superior technical qualities that combine to create a comfortable, highly breathable, and easy to care for performance piece.
Superior wicking action comes from “touch points” on the interior of the garment that draw moisture away from the skin while the exterior of the fabric spreads it rapidly to allow evaporation. Dry two times faster than cotton-only fabrics and stay 30% drier than other single-component fabrics with this durable rugged base layer.
Flat locked and overlocked seams provide protection from chafing and give long wearing comfort against your skin. Nylon reinforcements on the shoulder boost durability from the wear of a full ruck. Our Pursuit provides a streamlined and sleek aesthetic while also providing durable performance over a long term operation.
It looks great, but sadly, since I’ve moved from San Francisco to Austin, the number of days during which I could wear such a garment has been drastically reduced. I could see hunting in this, even though it’s an “urban” type design.
