Alright, now that you’ve done your research and joined some online communities, you’re well on your way to becoming an EDC exeprt. Now it’s time to start acquiring the items for your EDC. This is the fun part–shopping for your wishlist items. While quality gear can get expensive, hopefully you’ve learned that it’s a better investment to stick with reputable items that might cost a bit more than cheap, generic products. That’s not to say there isn’t plenty available for those on a budget; I’m a believer in budget EDCs, and we’ll be sharing more about which items we recommend within your budget. To get started, here are some of the best places to purchase EDC gear online.
CountyComm is essentially like an online army surplus store, and they have an array of great tactical gear at very affordable prices. It’s easy to get all of your EDC gear here in one fell swoop. They also have some unique survival tools if you’re assembling a bug out bag, too.
Sign up for Huckberry with your email, and you’ll get regular emails featuring great gear by a variety of reputable brands like Poler, Timex, and GORUCK. Although this means their inventory changes often, you’ll get more variety and better deals, so keep a list of the items you want in the event that they pop up on Huckberry. The products offered tend to be more rustic and modern rather than tactical, and their EDC store has all of the essentials.
Amazon is already a one-stop-shop for nearly anything you’d ever need to buy, and it’s an excellent place to find all EDC items. Sometimes it’s the only place to find a particular knife or tool that’s out of stock elsewhere. Sign up for Amazon Prime if you’re going to be making regular purchases; it easily pays for itself within a year as you’ll get free shipping and discounted prices.
The right knife can be a bit trickier to purchase at a store, so this is a great site to browse if you’re looking for a specific type of knife. They have inventory from all of the major brands, usually at significantly marked down prices. If you’re still a bit unsure about the knife you want, you can search by category and price, too, which helps weed out the ones that don’t fit your needs.
