Bushnell G-Force DX Rangefinder Wins OL Award

Bushnell is excited these days. The reason? Outdoor Life magazine has decided that one of Bushnell’s rangefinders is a Great Buy.

The product in question is the G-Force DX (202460/202461) model, which includes a bunch of features, like a rubber-armored metal housing, 6x magnification, separate bow and rifle modes, a 1300-yard reach, and half-yard accuracy.

The G-Force BX is available in black (202460) or Realtree Xtra camo (202461) – although the press release about the award calls for “gun metal grey” rather than black. Hmmm.

It includes a neck strap, carrying case, and CR123 battery. The info display has four brightness settings and has both bow and rifle modes so you can use it for all kinds of hunting.

What’s not to like about this rangefinder? Heck, I’m not sure. My own rangefinder is a low-end Bushnell, which has served okay for the three-plus years I’ve owned it, and the G-force has it beat in terms of range, magnification, accuracy, and flexibility. So if you’ve got about $400 to spend on a rangefinder, this might be the one you want. It’s worth a look, anyhow.

Here’s the official list of G-Force DX features:

  • Rubber-armored metal housing
  • 6x magnification
  • VDT (Vivid Display Technology)
  • 2nd Generation E.S.P. (Extreme Speed Precision) Provides up to 1/2 yard accuracy and 1/10-yard display precision
  • VSI (Variable Sight-in)
  • Bow Mode – provides true horizontal distance from 5–99 yards
  • Rifle Mode – provides bullet-drop/holdover in CM, IN, MOA & MIL
