[ICAST 2023] Danco Pliers adds to the Lunar-1 Series

Danco Pliers is back at ICAST this year showing off three new additions to their Lunar-1 series of fishing knives and tools. The new 6″ Flex Fillet Knife, the new 6″ folding fillet knife, and the new Split Ring Pliers. This series of knives and tools use a new grade of steel, the Swedish Sanvik 14C28N. This new steel easily resharpens, but at the same time has good edge retention, not easily chipping or rolling the edge of the knife. With a Rockwell hardness of 55-62 HRC, the steel is in a Goldilocks zone of hardness for outdoor knife use. Expect these new knives to hold an edge for 5-7 times longer than similar knives made of German steel. The handles for both of the knives and the split ring pliers use dual molded grips with Danco’s multi-texture tech.
