POTD: Is That a Browning??? – No, It is a Browning Copy!

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have an item that was oh-so-common back in the day. This is… well, I do not know what it is entirely. What I do know is that this is a Browning copy. It is not necessarily a copy of any specific model of Brownings but it most likely stole bits of similar straight blowback designs. Most importantly it copied his name ad nauseum on the gun. “Browning” this, “Browning” that. This was because, after the pocket pistol that exploded because of his Model 1900, everyone knew the name Browning across the globe. Having his name on a gun was a marketing tool whether it was in good faith or not.
