We have all been at the range and seen that guy. He’s got tactical kit hanging off of his body from his fresh flat dark earth boots up to his Molon Labe ballcap. Moreover, his pistol looks custom as custom gets! We’re talking an optic, flashlight, Safariland holster, sweet slide serrations, and its a laser gun; hole-in-hole accuracy. The only concerning thing as you look over this specimen of a shooter is… how much did that pistol cost? Custom slide cut, $500? Custom slide serrations, $200? Textured grip, $400? The gun itself, $800? Accurate, forward-thinking handguns shouldn’t cost $2,000 or 2 months of mortgage payments. There needs to be a better way. Enter the Echelon. One of the defining features of the Springfield Armory Echelon is the all-new Central Operating Group (COG). The COG of the Echelon is a self-contained, serialized chassis so you can simply remove the “internal guts” of your pistol and drop it into multiple frame sizes. Another revolutionary idea is the Variable Interface System (VIS) which allows users to mount over 30 optics directly to the slide without the use of adapter plates (nobody likes adapter plates).

Having a refined handgun with modern features shouldn’t cost a fortune.
