The National Rifle Association (NRA) puts out a magazine dubbed the American Hunter and every year they preemptively pick the best products for various categories leading into the next year for shooters, hunters, and sportsmen/sportswomen alike. This year, under the category of Handgun of the Year, the Savage Arms 110 PCS received the Golden Bullseye Award 2023.

What the Golden Bullseye Award 2023 is meant to acknowledge is the best-of-the-best in a products respective field. The NRA’s American Hunter staff field test various products and they identify ones that have been proven to be reliable in the field and exceed the expectations of experts in the outdoor space. The winners are selected by a seven-member committee consisting of editors, graphic designers and veteran NRA Publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the shooting and hunting industry.

The Savage Arms 110 PCS might be an odd firearm to some new shooters, but this is an idea that has been tested out before. Savage Arms used to make an older iteration of a bolt-action handgun in the Savage Striker and even that had a competitor with the Remington XP-100 along with a bevy of Thompson Center Contender models.
