Well regarded for their compact size, lightweight, and simple operation, the Chiappa Little Badger family of rifles are great for stuffing in a truck on your ATV, or in a backpack when you hit the trail. Chiappa Firearms has just announced two new additions to their Little Badger lineup including one new Cerakote option for the standard Little Badger design, as well as the brand new Little Badger Take Down Xtreme Rifle.

Chiappa’s NEW Little Badger Take Down Xtreme Rifle
The new Little Badger Take Down Xtreme Rifle changes things up a bit more by adding a new streamlined Steel Rod Stock that can still hold up to 12 rounds of spare 22LR ammunition, and of course, the new takedown system that allows the user to separate the receiver and barrel at the joint where the rifle would normally pivot. Also new for the Take Down Extreme is a brand new plastic carrying case that is water resistant and also features the new Chiappa Little Badger TDX logo. This new version of the Little Badger will cost $280.00 and still features the same M1 Military style sights, Picatinny quad rail, and blued finish. Hopefully, at some point down the road, Chiappa will be offering pistol variants of the Little Badger Take Down Xtreme as well as versions chambered in 22WMR and 17HMR.
The new Desert Sand variant of the Little badger shares virtually all of the same features as the blued versions of the Little Badger but at the time of writing is only being produced in 22LR with a 16.5″ threaded barrel. The Cerakote version of the Little Badger ($264.00) will cost just a bit more than the standard blued version ($228.00). This version of the Little Badger should prove to be a little bit more weather resistant than the standard blued versions.
