POTD: Not a Snake Gun – Fifth Issue Colt Police Positive Special

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day!  Here we have the fifth and last piece of the Colt Police Positive Special puzzle. You may have noticed I skipped the Third Iteration Colt Police Positive Special. This mainly has to do with the fact that it is being covered in-depth in our Curious Relics segment. Both Part One and Part Two are live and ready to be viewed! The Fifth Issue Colt Police Positive Special is barely that at all. Really it was Colt combining that and the regular Police Positive name in order to make a short live homage or legacy revolver. It was similar to their mid-size 357 revolvers although still confined to 38 Special. Much like their popular snake series of revolvers the Fifth Issue Colt Police Positive Special or “Police Positive Mark V” had a full underlug.

“Manufactured between 1994 and 1995. With blue plastic Colt hardcase and picture box numbered to gun.”
