Sea Falcon Premium Handmade Lures Now Available in the USA

Anglers looking for handmade Japanese fishing lures will be pleased to know that Sea Falcon lures are now available in the USA, thanks to an exclusive arrangement with SPRO® and Gamakatsu. The Sea Falcon brand represents a tradition of handmade craftsmanship and their lures are made in a craft center workshop called Bluing Hearts in Hamamatsu, Japan. They say their Sea Falcon products are produced with innovative materials and manufacturing methods to deliver original products to the world of lure fishing.

Interestingly, Sea Falcon plug lures are constructed with a balsa core and lead weight surrounded by a “thick, high-float resin coating” which “protects the lure from even the biggest, toothiest fish.” The balsa and lead are arranged to provide “perfect balance and buoyancy to achieve extremely accurate lure control.” Here’s some more info, from the press release:

Sea Falcon jigs are available in a wide variety of colors and sizes, each with a specific dive profile allowing you to fine tune your presentation to entice even the pickiest biters. There are many factors to consider when slow pitch jigging and Sea Falcon has developed a specification chart for each jig. This indicates the fall speed, weight balance, pause time, current, pulling resistance, and slide width that each lure has and maps them out on an easy to understand chart on the Sea Falcon website.

Every Sea Falcon® lure is based on a hand-carved original created by CEO and Chief Designer Tetsuya Itou, one of Japan’s foremost lure designers. Based in Hamamatsu, Japan, they operate under the ‘Total Package’ concept, combining all processes from planning and development to manufacturing all under one roof. Sea Falcon ensures supreme quality and continues to provide innovative products to the fishing world.

To achieve the excellent appearance for which Sea Falcon is known, all of their plugs get more than 20 applications of clear coat, and each plug is polished twice. In some applications, aluminum or holographic applications are used to make each lure even more striking (pun intended). Sure sounds good from here. Want to check out what Sea Falcon has to offer?
