Watch: Thermal Camera Captured Pistol Firing

Here’s another one that I find cool and interesting but don’t know much about. This animated gif produced with the use of a thermal camera shows a semi-automatic pistol bring fired.

One of the coolest things is how, when the empty brass cartridge case is ejected, the head (or rear) of it almost looks like a hollow-point bullet simply because the thicker brass there isn’t so hot, but the primer sure is.

Also check out the sparks flying out of the ejection port. Cool.
