Z-Man, a well-known name in the inshore fishing world, has found it about time to upgrade one of their most popular bits of terminal tackle. The Trout Eye Jighead has been a staple for a ton of anglers, but now it’s time to give it some new X-Factors with the new and upgraded Trout Eye X Jighead. The new Trout Eye X Jighead is built around a custom and exclusive 2/0 Mustad AlphaPoint 4.8 Tech hook. These new Mustad AlphaPoint hooks have twice the strength and ten times the corrosion resistance of the original Trout Eye jigs. The corrosion-resistant Titan Steel (tS) coating gives the jig a clean look on top of the 500+ hours of saltwater resistance. The durable but slim 4.8mm AlphaPoint hook point makes it super easy to slide the hook into the jaw of a trout, thinner than most needle point hooks but many times as durable. All of the Trout Eye X jigheads come with 3D prismatic eyes that are matched with a hard-wearing powder coat to give the jigs vibrant and colorful pattern options. The eye-candy color combinations include red/gold eye, black/glow eye, pink/chartreuse eye, chartreuse/red eye, and pearl/pearl eye. Lastly, the jigs have dual bait-keeper barbs that will lock your soft plastics in place for a seamless transition point from jighead to soft plastic. These new top-of-the-line jigheads will be available this August and have an MSRP of $6.99 for a pack of 3.
