Ever since WarBird made their debut at SHOT Show 2024, we have been vocal about their presence in the shooting sports and quite excited by what they are offering to all of us – shooters and hunters alike. Our first foray into their products was a review of their Sleeper Cell shooting glasses roughly 1 week ago which we spoke quite highly of. So, protecting them is paramount when shooting and being in the outdoors, generally. In this AllOutdoor Review, we are going to take a look at a set of their hearing protection in the WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic ear pro to see how they perform. Let’s dive in!

Field Use: WarBird Intrepid BT – Bluetooth, Electronic Ear Pro
So, how did the WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic hearing protection perform out in the field?… I have had the opportunity to deploy these earmuffs several times this spring for outings on the range. Once was with my lovely wife, Andrea, as well as my father-in-law. We were testing out the new Hammerli Arms Forge H1 5″ 1911 pistol and the Walther WMP .22 Magnum (Walther Magnum Pistol). Switching from shooter to cameraman to observer, all 3 of us were able to give the WarBird Intrepid BT a try, and we all agreed that they were very comfortable.
Gel cups in earmuffs used to be considered a bougie upgrade 5 – 10 years ago, but now they are slowly becoming an industry standard, and I am all the more glad for it. It makes long range sessions more enjoyable and you don’t feel that gnawing pressure of the earmuffs against your cranium. Moreover, we found the headband to have a high degree of adjustability for our vary sizes.
As far as the buttons on the side of the earmuff go, I also appreciated that they are slightly raised above the surface of the earmuff. Then, you can have that proprioceptive touch to index and feel which button you are hitting on the muff while you are wearing it. There isn’t a need to remove the muff to adjust volume, turn them On/Off, or any of the other functions.
I also appreciated that these muffs are rechargeable and there is an audio jack for accessory items you may want to employ as well. It always seems like right when you catch some free time and can plan a day at the range is when your batteries are dead in your ear pro. With these I could literally charge them as I drive to the range if necessary. A simple, modern accoutrement like this makes me a happy camper when my free time to shoot is so precious.
There’s not a lot more that can be gleaned from a pair of electronic earmuffs. We weren’t going to drag these down a gravel road as a torture test (maybe next time), and these perform as advertised. Being the 37 year old millennial that I am, the only critique I have is to maybe add a Velcro section on the top of the headband so people can add whatever rad or groovy morale patches they want. Other than that, I walked away impressed having used these earmuffs for a little over a month now.
Final Thoughts: WarBird Intrepid BT – Bluetooth, Electronic Ear Pro
So, what are my final thoughts on the WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic hearing protection?… At the modest MSRP of $149.99, the WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic ear pro are a great buy. I have owned more expensive ear pro than these over the years, and the spendier models on the market today do not deliver more to the user. The WarBird Intrepid BT might sound spendy at $150, but it honestly is not. These are a phenomenal value proposition, perform above what they’re billed to be, and you’re supporting a family, American business in WarBird – and that matters to me (one business person to another).
In closing, I want to say thank you to WarBird for allowing AllOutdoor and myself the opportunity to try out their new WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic hearing protection. That is greatly appreciated. Also, we would like to know what all of you guys and gals think? Do you believe that the WarBird Intrepid BT Bluetooth, electronic hearing protection are something worth spending your money on? Would you wear them on a construction site? During a shooting match? Or, while cutting the grass or running a chainsaw? Possibly hunting? As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
