Wiley X Founder and Recon Sunglasses Make their Debut

Wiley X, a global leader in premium protective eyewear, is proud to release two exciting new models of eyewear that are now available online and through select retailers: the Wiley X Founder and Recon. Designed and assembled at the company’s headquarters in Frisco, Texas, these new arrivals exhibit Wiley X’s commitment to quality craftsmanship by seamlessly blending protection, performance and style. Wiley X also sent me a pair of the new Founders to test out for All Outdoor so be on the lookout for a comprehensive review of those shades in the coming months. I also took a pair of some Wiley X eye protection glasses to the U.S. Army’s Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape (SERE) school earlier this month. So far I’m pretty happy with those shades so the Founder and Recon should be on par with the overall quality I have come to expect. No lie, those shades saved my eyeballs from being poked out about 100 times at SERE.

Both models boast shatterproof Selenite™ 6-Base lenses for superior protection and durability while WX CAPTIVATE™ lens technology, available in polarized and non-polarized options, enhances visual experience with superior clarity, enhanced contrast and vivid colors.
Additionally, they’re available with prescription lenses using the brand’s proprietary Digiforce2™ technology. The removable side shields included with each model give users the flexibility to customize their protection level as needed.
