AllOutdoor.com – Adventure Lies Outside, Let Us Guide You There

In life, there exist many pivotal moments if you have a keen enough eye to hold witness to them. They could be the first time you catch a trout from a riverbank with your Mickey Mouse bobber. The first time you climb a tree, fall down, and receive a Band-Aid for your boo-boo which reinvigorates your soul to ascend the tree again. Such moments could be the first time you buy a house, when you got down on one knee to propose to your wife, a time when you hit rock bottom so you could only go up, and/or realizing your life is at a point where you are going to need to turn a new page. We, at AllOutdoor.com, are at such a turning point.

Our first article ever published was on January 16th, 2013. I’m, personally, closing in on 7 years being a writer for AllOutdoor; 4 years of which I have been your official adventure guide, the Managing Editor. AllOutdoor has seen a lot of change in the 11 years we’ve been around; as has the world at-large. So, too, must we continue to evolve as marketplaces change. My first typing lesson was on a typewriter in grade school (scary to think back to that now). From there, computers, tablets, and other tools came about and we all adjusted. My earliest algebra teacher impressed upon us that “you need to get good at math because you won’t be able to carry around a calculator the rest of your life.” While I am now and forever a math and finance nerd, joke’s on my 7th grade arithmetic teacher (as my Android phone not only has a calculator app, but also can calculate my D.O.P.E. to engage targets at 1,000+ yards with a crosswind).

COVID was a turning point in society and telling for many reasons. It showed us what the salt of our fellow man was like, where people stand; moreover, what people care about based on the news they read and digest on a daily basis. The firearms industry, specifically, is rife with coverage – good coverage, too – much of which comes from our family of sites in TheFirearmBlog.com and OutdoorHub.com. Understanding this, we don’t want to eat their food when we are dining from the same table; a part of the same family. So, our content focus is going to shift. We now are going to fix our gaze on these areas:

  • Hiking/Backpacking
  • Mountaineering
  • Skiing
  • Outdoor Fitness
  • Climbing
  • Cycling/Mountain Biking
  • Kayaking
  • Overlanding
  • Offroad
  • Airguns
  • Archery

Our cadre of writers shall remain the same. Some may participate more as we’ve opened the door for coverage of some of their favorite outdoor, recreational activities while others you might see less (or, potentially more on TheFirearmBlog.com and OutdoorHub.com). One element will remain constant throughout our period of change – one of our own turning points: we are here to inform, explain, and share in our experiences in the outdoors. From the waterways to the backwoods, our goal is to present you with news, reviews, editorials, and first-hand experiences of it all.

A significant part of our success over the years has been you; our readers. So, I implore you to engage with our writers, our articles, Join Our Newsletter, and get rowdy in the Comments! We want your feedback, your personal experiences, and possibly some of you to join us along this journey as writers.

This year will be a turning point for AllOutdoor.com along with our sister-websites of TheFirearmBlog.com and OutdoorHub.com. Maybe it can be for you, too. Go do a cold plunge, ruck a trail with a friend, modify your Tacoma only to get sucked into a rabbit hole, shoot a crossbow for the first time, or hike a mountain for the sweet view and a picture for the ‘Gram (I can’t believe I said that). Instagram selfies or not, we hope you all enjoy the content that we have coming for you. May you have a blessed year and get outside because adventure awaits, and we can be your tour guide.
