GLOCK is officially expanding to more than 50 models of handguns. Some are available now, while others will be made available for sale after SHOW Show 2024. Let’s take a look a look at some of the newly unveiled Glock 2024 models as well as some others that maybe aren’t in the wild yet, but will be soon. Also, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below about which Glock 2024 handgun you would be most likely to purchase.

Glock G49 9mm MOS (Modular Optic System)

The G49 MOS is the company’s new crossover compact. It incorporates the Gen 5 G19 railed frame, albeit ditching the Gen 5 stippling in favor of the rougher Gen 4’s “RTF” texture on the grip. It’s also lacking finger grooves in favor of a smooth, straight walled grip. Topping off the upper half is a G17-length slide housing a 4.5″ barrel. It’s also receiving the standard Modular Optic System red dot footprint, so it’ll play host to your favorite Holosun, Trijicon, or other micro reflex sight without needing to send your slide away for machining.

The G49, like most other FrankenGLOCKS, fits a specific niche of daily carriers who want the proper accuracy of a longer barrel, while keeping the grip a just a tad shorter to reduce printing. To say this gun’s highly concealable may be a stretch, but the ergonomics and slide/barrel combo are sure to attract plenty of buyers.

Glock G29 Gen5 10mm Auto

The G29 is getting the Gen 5 update, bringing one of the company’s more popular subcompacts up to speed with the latest accoutrements. That means the 10mm Auto receives better accuracy with the new Glock Marksman Barrel, or “GMB,” and it’s ditching the finger grooves of the Gen 4 (pictured above) for a straight grip, with the updated dot matrix stippling also replacing the sandpaper-y texture of the Gen 4 grip.

Perhaps the best update is the interchangeable backstraps which, on small frames like these, play a bigger role in obtaining a quick and comfortable grip with an appropriate sight picture and hand placement. Other updates include the ambidextrous slide stop lever with redesigned internals, a flared mag well, and front slide serrations replacing the “G box” roll mark.

Glock G30 Gen5 .45 Auto

If you’re archaic and stubborn, and you like to carry .45 because you grew up shooting a 1911 far more often than any other gun (like me), then you might want the refreshed Gen 5 GLOCK 30 as your new polymer-framed CCL piece – instead of the 10mm-chambered G29. It’s practically the same gun, save for the larger chamber sending some .ACP down the tube instead of 10mm Auto. Like its 10mm cousin, the G30 gets the same updates: GMB barrel, smooth grip, new stippling, modular backstraps, ambidextrous levers, and front slide serrations for those cool-guy press checks.

Glock G44 .22 Long Rifle (TALO Edition w/ Fiber Optics)

The G44 “Talo,” also referred as the “TB” (for its threaded barrel) provides some new bells and whistles for .22 LR plinking fans. The Talo also comes with fiber optic iron sights instead of the usual 3-dot white sights. The 44 Talo’s basically designed to be a cheap training gun for professionals, sporting exterior dimensions that are basically identical to the G19. It has the same overall length, slide length, width, height, and line of sight as the 9mm duty gun, only lacking recoil in its mimicry. But it makes a great target shooter for casual, cheap fun at the range, and it’s now a perfect candidate for your favorite rimfire can.

Re-Release of G17L w/ Retro Texture

The G17L is made in small batches and is usually tough to come by, and this re-release, sporting the original GLOCK frame texture, will be no different. It will, however, retain its current Gen 4 components – no plans have been announced indicating the extended 17 will get a Gen 5 refresh. This one’s sort of an odd, inconsequential release, but it’ll likely catch the attention of obsessive collectors.

Bonus: New Performance Drop-in Triggers

AllOutdoor Round-Up Review - All of the New Glock 2024 Models!

The Glock Performance Trigger‘s now compatible with more Gen 4 guns, thanks to the inclusion of a redesigned backplate included with new orders, meant to allow for Gen 4 slides to clear the frame’s assembly when the new trigger’s ejector is seated.

I’ve always been a critic of GLOCK’s triggers, but the GPT does provide a modest improvement in creep and takeup, and it was somewhat of a personal annoyance when I found I couldn’t install these units in my Gen 4 pistols because of nothing more than small machining decisions. Installing aftermarket trigger bars is also easier with the updated trigger assembly, so it’s nice to see the GPT coming to more pistols.

Models announced to accept the Performance Trigger in 2024 include the G44, all .40 S&W models – including the G22, G23, G27, and G35 – and three .357 SIG models, including the G31, G32, and G33. Although the Austrian pistol maker’s announcements herein are a bit dull, SHOT Show 2024 is upon us, and it’s possible that more exciting things may come from GLOCK in Las Vegas, so stay tuned for coverage from our friends at The Firearm Blog.
