NEW Mossberg 500 & 835 Optic-Ready Turkey Shotguns w/ Holosun Sight

A trend that we have been seeing in the firearms industry is more and more platforms are becoming optic-ready because of how overwhelmingly popular micro red dots have become. In fact, Mossberg is driving that bus in regards optic-ready shotguns whether it is for sport, hunting, or defense. Their newest iterations to the market are the Mossberg 500 Optic-Ready and 835 Optic-Ready in turkey hunting colorways. These turkey shotguns are perfect for the Holosun HS407K micro red dot sight, and can be purchased from the factory with them on a 500 and 835 Optic-Ready already equipped.

Mossberg has had optic-ready shotguns before the announcement of these 4 new offerings, but this definitely grows the portfolio of optic-ready firearms quite a bit. All four of these new selections will sport an olive green Holosun HS407K micro red dot sight that nicely matches the factory Mossy Oak® Greenleaf™ full camo coverage. From the camouflage patterns that these new turkey shotguns are offered in down to their optic-ready compatibility, the 500 and 835 Optic-Ready series is quite impressive. North Haven, Connecticut – Now ready to take afield, Mossberg’s line of optic-ready 500 and 835 Ulti-Mag^® Turkey pump-action shotguns come in convenient combo packages, topped with an olive green Holosun HS407K micro dot sight. Three small bore versions of the 500 Turkey are available including a Super Bantam with adjustable length-of-pull along with a hard-hitting, 12-gauge 835 Ulti-Mag version with 3.5-inch chamber. All four models feature Mossy Oak^® Greenleaf^™ full camo coverage and compact 20-inch barrels.
At the core of Mossberg’s pump-action shotguns are proven design features that include non-binding twin action bars; dual extractors; a positive steel-to-steel lock-up; anti-jam elevator; anodized aluminum receiver; and universally recognized, ambidextrous top-mounted safety. These field-ready turkey guns come standard with optic-cut receiver and mounted Holosun micro dot sight for improved eye alignment and faster target acquisition; extended choke tubes; fiber optic front sight; drilled and tapped receiver for added versatility; sling swivel studs; 5+1 shell capacity; and cover plate should the mounted optic be removed.
These hunt-ready combos feature a Holosun HS407K micro dot sight that is mounted directly into the patent-pending optic cut on the 500 and 835 receivers. This open reflex sight has a 6 MOA Dot reticle; 12 brightness levels; unlimited eye relief; convenient battery tray; Shake Awake feature; and up to 50,000 hours battery life. And to enhance concealment, the sight features an olive finish which blends with the gun’s Greenleaf camo coverage.

This 410, 3-inch pump action features full Mossy Oak Greenleaf camo coverage and comes with a 20-inch vent rib, AccuChoke™- compatible barrel. An extended X-Full choke tube is included. And completing this combo is a Holosun HS407K micro dot sight.

Mossberg 500 Optic-Ready Turkey Holosun Combo 20 Gauge (SKU: 54342) – MSRP: $844

This fully-camouflaged 20-gauge, 3-inch pump action has a compact 20-inch vent rib AccuChoke-compatible barrel and is equipped with an extended X-Factor Ported choke tube. With the addition of the Holosun HS407K micro dot sight, this pump-action is ready to take afield.

Mossberg 500 Optic-Ready Super Bantam Turkey Holosun Combo 20 Gauge (SKU: 54684) – MSRP: $844

Looking for the versatility of an adjustable length-of-pull stock (LOP)? This 500 Super Bantam utilizes a one-inch spacer to extend the LOP from 12 to 13 inches for a proper fit for a variety of users. Chambered in 20 gauge (3-inch), this handy pump-action features full camo coverage, a 20-inch vent rib AccuChoke-compatible barrel and comes with an Extended X-Full choke tube. The Holosun HS407K micro dot sight comes mounted to the optic cut receiver completing the combo package.

Mossberg 835 Optic-Ready Ulti-Mag Turkey Holosun Combo 12 Gauge (SKU: 62230) – MSRP: $895

This full-featured 12-gauge, 3.5-inch pump action has a 20-inch overbored barrel for uniform, dense patterns and is threaded for use with AccuMag™ choke tubes. An extended Ulti-Full choke tube is included. Completing this full-camo combo is a factory-mounted Holosun HS407K micro dot sight.

I am excited that companies like Mossberg are introducing more optic-ready shotguns for turkey hunting and other uses as well.
