Introduced only a few years ago, the Ruger/Marlin 1895 SBL garnered considerable success, leaving enthusiasts eager for more lever action offerings. Addressing this demand, Ruger/Marlin has now unveiled the Dark Series 1895 lever action rifles. Boasting contemporary polymer furniture, an extended top-mounted Picatinny rail, and available chamberings in 30-30 Winchester, 44 Rem Mag, and, of course, 45-70 Govt, these rifles are set to make a significant impact in the firearms market.

The New DARK Series Lever-Action Rifles from Ruger/Marlin
The new Dark Series lever-action rifles from Ruger/Marlin, a fusion of classic Marlin design with a contemporary aesthetic. These rifles feature a cutting-edge nylon-reinforced polymer stock equipped with M-LOK® attachment slots for convenient accessory mounting. The anodized aluminum handguard complements this modern look, also incorporating M-LOK® attachment slots for versatile accessory placement.
The DARK 1895 model stands out with its standard fiber optic front sights featuring tritium rings, ensuring enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. The top-mounted Picatinny rail offers a stable platform for mounting scope rings and various optics. To optimize the sight picture when using an optic, a cheek riser is included. Additionally, the rifle boasts a generous recoil pad designed to effectively absorb recoil, enhancing overall shooting comfort.
The Ruger/Marlin Dark Series 1895 rifles are competitively priced at an MSRP of $1,379. The Model 336 and 1894 variations are set to be released in early 2024.
