Having a shorter barrel, like the one on the new Volquarten Mini Scorpion, means that more ammunition can be used without producing a supersonic crack, and the overall length of the pistol is reduced making it easier to handle with a suppressor attached. Meet the New 3″ Mini Scorpion from Volquartsen Firearms
The new Volquartsen Mini Scorpion is going to retail for $1,481.50 and comes from the factory virtually decked out for just about any task you could put a rimfire pistol to. With just a 3″ barrel, pretty much any 22LR load you can find will come out of that barrel at subsonic speeds meaning you can shoot cheap plinking ammo through this pistol and still have a nice and quiet shooting experience when paired with your favorite suppressor. Volquartsen Firearms, an industry leader in precision rimfire firearms manufacturing, adds to their pistol lineup with the new Mini Scorpion 22 LR.
Volquartsen’s most compact Scorpion package features an overall length of approximately 8″ and weighs only 1 lb. 12 oz. The 3″ Scorpion LLV has been combined with the Volquartsen lightweight VF Target Frame in the 1911 grip angle to create a very lightweight and extremely accurate 22 LR.
The 3″ Scorpion LLV upper features a stainless steel barrel (with stainless steel, laser-hardened breech) housed in an aluminum shroud. This design provides match-grade accuracy in a lightweight package. The barrel is threaded 1/2 x 28, making it the perfect suppressor host. An integral Picatinny rail on top is standard.
The Volquartsen Competition Bolt with DLC Coating ensures smooth operation and function. This bolt is a must when shooting suppressed.
The 3″ Scorpion LLV upper will also be available as a standalone product which is compatible with the Ruger® MK II and MK III pistols.
