New LS2 Rod Construction PENN Carnage III Offshore Rods

PENN is completing its Carnage III series of rods with the new PENN Carnage III Offshore boat and tournament rods. These represent their next generation of high-performance rods. Made with powerful, lightweight blanks that have been designed to be extremely durable even under maximum pressure. These rods have been purpose-built for fighting the largest saltwater species out there. These new offshore models have been made to compete with the custom rod market, coming with heavy-duty LS2 construction. The blade-only models of rods even have interchangeable rod butts to accommodate various techniques used offshore. LS2 rod construction was purpose-made for the brutal conditions of the offshore environment. A carbon and glass composite with a unidirectional core that has an outer carbon spiral wrap. This reinforces the core and enhances the hoop strength of the blank, all the while keeping the blank lightweight. The Carnage III Offshore models are a total of 17 different rod SKUs, with 10 of them being the Blade-Only designs. Those 10 rods allow anglers to customize the butt sections to match whatever technique and boat configuration they fish. The remaining 7 rods come with slick butts, except for the white marlin rod.
