Nightstick Releases Lights to Fit Narrow-Rail Guns in TCM-365 & TCM-5B

Nightstick, of Texas, recently announced the addition of new auxiliary lights, purpose-built for today’s most popular concealed carry handguns with downsized rails. The TCM-365 and TCM-5B weapon-mounted lights are built to fill the need for backup lighting on micro-compact models that cannot accommodate full-size, Picatinny rail tactical lights.tcm-365

There are two models in this product subset. The TCM-365 is a fit for the Sig Sauer P365 and most of its current variants. The TCM-5B fits more than a dozen currently produced narrow-rail guns including the popular Springfield Hellcat and other narrow-rail guns by Glock, Heckler & Koch, Smith & Wesson, SCCY, Taurus, Ruger, Shadow Systems, Beretta, and Walther.

Each model weighs 2.2 ounces. The housing is aircraft-grade aluminum. Both models are waterproof to the IP-X7 standard. Intuitive operation is built into the rear-facing switches. There’s a programmable strobe mode. Its Safe Mode prevents unintentional activation in storage or carry. Both models sport ultra-performance LEDs and an optimized TIR lens. Its 650-lumen beam is purported to supply illumination up to 136 meters away for up to two hours.

Included in the package is a CR123A lithium battery and model-specific inserts with Allen wrench. Actual installation is tool-free using the coin slot screw on the spring-loaded rail clamp.

Nightstick has numerous clients in the law enforcement and civilian sectors. The creation of these lights was driven by an attempt to stay at the forefront of the market, especially on the civilian side. “Nationwide we’ve continued to see data indicating consumers are moving towards more compact EDC pistols from major brands, especially narrow frame models with increased round capacity that rival standard width compact pistol models from a decade ago. That strategic decision to reduce weight and bulk for a daily-carry pistol shouldn’t penalize buyers who still prioritize a weapon light as part of their carry setup with limited options,” says Brian Whalen, Public Safety Marketing Manager for Nightstick. “These handgun owners and concealed carry practitioners will now benefit from the powerful 650-lumen beam and intuitive rear-facing switches from our TCM-365 and 5B for threat identification and confirmation, when life depends on light™.”

To make shopping easy, a gun- and light-finder function has been added to the Nightstick website. Actual purchases must be made through dealers. This writer was able to find TCM lights for sale through a major online retailer for $119. Each light is covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
