[ICAST 2023] The Ultrafast Tatula 100 Baitcasting Reel from Daiwa

Daiwa has announced another addition to the already popular Tatula line of low-profile baitcasting reels at ICAST 2023, the all-new Tatula 100 with Hyperdrive Design. This new reel has a redesigned reel frame for a reel with much better ergonomics, letting anglers have more confidence in hand along with comfort as they reel. Along with the ergo changes to the reel frame, the internals have been upgraded with Daiwa’s patented Hyper-Drive design. Giving the Tatula 100 the smoothest performance and power possible. The spool on the reel is made of A7075 aluminum alloy, a lighter spool material, giving anglers the opportunity to cast longer distances or cast lighter finesse baits with greater control, this is due to reduced inertia in the spool.

The new Hyper-Drive Tatula 100 will also come with a Daiwa T-Wing line guide for maximum casting distance, this specialized line guide shifts up and down as you’re casting or reeling for a wider line guide for a shallower angle as the line comes off the spool. The reel also comes with Zero Adjuster cast control to maintain optimal spool tension, along with Magforce cast control to help you from backlashing the reel and having to deal with a bird’s nest for the next ten minutes. This reel will be available in 3 gearings; 6.3:1, 7.1:1, and 8.1:1, and come in both left and right-handed retrieve. MSRP for them will be $179.99 and should be available in stores and online this fall.
