[ICAST 2023] New Signature Series Cast Nets From FITEC International

Hard to beat live bait on the water when you’re wanting to catch a ton of fish, and even harder still to beat a cast net for catching all that bait. The largest cast net manufacturer in the United States, FITEC International has introduced a couple of new cast nets from their Signature Series line of Cast Nets this year at ICAST. They have been in the cast net game since 1984 and continue to be a leader in the industry year after year. First of the two cast nets is the Signature Shallow Series Cast Nets, a lighter net great for throwing in shallower water. The netting is a premium Japanese netting that has excellent tensile strength but still is super supple and soft. The nets are assembled from six panels that lie completely flat for easy pancakes every time. The lead lines have 1.2 pounds of lead weights per radius foot, and the swivel is a heavy-duty brass unit. This net is available in a 10ft or 7ft radius option and has mesh options starting at 1/4″ up to 5/8″ depending on what bait you’re chasing.

The second of the two Signature Series Cast Nets is the Deep Water Taped Cast net. This net uses the same premium materials for the build of the cast net but has a couple of different key features than the shallow water model. These nets will come from the factory with the tape fused to the mesh. That way as the net falls through the water column they spread out wide instead of bunching up as they fall. Along with the tape, the lead weights have been increased on the lead line. There are 1.6 lbs of lead per radius foot, making sure even with the added drag of the tape it can still reach those deep water baits easily.
