POTD: Less Lethal of The 1940s – H&R Model 150 Gas Cartridge Revolver

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have an interesting lesser-known gas cartridge revolver. This is a Harrington and Richardson Model 150 Gas Cartridge Revolver. These bad boys (or good boys) were made from 1940 to 1941. I could find very little information about them beyond general specs and what a gas cartridge revolver is. These were made for self-defense and used 38 caliber CS tear gas cartridges. The bore was made to be smaller so a normal 38 cartridge could not be fired (if it did I am sure it would be a big problem. These and other less-lethal in the United States. These had a five-round capacity, were offered in a hammered or spurless variant, and had rubber grips.
