Springfield Releases 10-Round Saint Victor Pistol Caliber Carbine

Springfield Armory continues to run a busy shop this year. On the heels of their announcement of a new selection of threaded barrels for Hellcat and XD-M pistols comes the unveiling of a restrictive locale legal version of their 9mm Saint Victor pistol caliber carbine (PCC). The new Saint Victor is just like the original, except the magazine capacity has been trimmed from the 32-round, Colt style mag to one that holds just ten.
Practical, solid features that consumers have come to expect from the Springfield brand are used generously on the Saint Victor PCC. A six-position B5 Systems Bravo stock on the rear has modern style. Its 7075 aluminum upper and lower receivers are Type III hardcoat anodized. A dedicated 9mm lower means no magazine adapter is needed for this blowback-driven carbine. The flat faced, nickel boron-coated trigger continues the upgraded look of the Saint PCC. The charging handle is standard, but an ambi safety shows southpaws a little kindness and offers either-shoulder operating flexibility. B5 Systems also supplies the polymer trigger guard and grip. All finishes are black in color.
Up front, a free-floating M-Lok handguard provides room for a light, sling, and any other rail-attached accessory. The handguard invites the use of a thumb-up grip on the foriend. The 16-inch barrel has Melonite treatment and a 1:10 twist. It’s capped by a unique forward-directing flash hider. Atop the handguard are front and rear flip-up iron sights. The Pic rail on top allows plenty of room for an optic without having to move the iron sights.
The 10-round Saint Victor PCC is 31.75 to 35 inches in length and has some heft for its size at six pounds, 15 ounces. Springfield includes a canvas carry case with purchase. A limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship and covers the original purchaser only. MSRP is $1,299.
