Ruger Supercharges the Wrangler – Meet the NEW Super Wrangler
Luke Cuenco 04.10.23
Ruger has supercharged the popular rimfire Wrangler Revolver lineup with the addition of the new 22WMR capable Super Wrangler single-action. This new revolver offering from Ruger includes both a 22WMR cylinder as well as a 22LR cylinder which gives you a lot of flexibility in terms of the types of ammunition and types of shooting you can do with the new Super Wrangler. Like previously released Wrangler models, the Super Wrangler will be made available in several different Cerakote colors, and will also feature adjustable rear iron sights making it suitable for both target shooting, plinking, and varmint hunting.

The Ruger Super Wrangler will come in three different Cerakote versions including Black, Silver, and Bronze. Each revolver will come with both a 22LR and a 22WMR cylinder and will feature the exact same takedown procedure as the 22LR-only models of the Wrangler. The new Super Wrangler uses a cold hammer-forged barrel for better accuracy and durability, while the Cerakote finish ensures that the Wrangler can live up to the Ruger reputation for rugged reliability in all environments. The New Super Wrangler is currently being listed for an MSRP of $329.00 which puts it at about $60 more than comparable Wrangler models featuring 22LR-only cylinders.
With the introduction of this new revolver, there might be a lot of people who will pick this up over either of the other single-action rimfire options (the Single-Six and original Wrangler) as this option gives shooters access to both 22WMR and 22LR in the same package and at a price that is logical for the addition of the extra cylinder.
