[SHOT 2023] DIY Gunsmithing – XS Sights NEW Glock Sight Pusher

The fine family of folks at XS Sights has put out a new set of tools for people who would rather work on guns at home and the professional gunsmith this year at SHOT Show. They have a duo of tools meant to make installing Glock sights super easy with the DIY-Series Sight Pusher and the Gunsmith-Series Sight Pusher. Both tools work the same way to remove, install, and adjust Glock sights. They are both ruggedly built and compact that way you can take it in your bag to the range to easily adjust your irons while you’re there. While both are similar there are just a few feature differences between the DIY and Gunsmith Sight Pushers

The DIY-Series of Sight Pushers is more for the at-home hobbyist that changes out irons for themselves and maybe their friends. The pusher uses a hex key bolt and hex key to push the brass bit that will move the sights. The DIY-Series Sight Pusher should last about 50-100 installations more than enough for the occasional sight adjustment.

The Gunsmith-Series of Sight Pushers is a bit more ruggedly built than the DIY-Series, this is a professional tool meant for smithing use. Instead of a hex key bolt and hex key, the Gunsmith-series uses a dedicated threaded bit that uses a steel front sight tool for the handle. The steel front sight tool is also magnetic to help you keep track of your sights. This tool is rated for at least 200 installations, same as before though it will fit all Glock OEM and aftermarket slides and uses a brass pusher and plastic wedge to keep marring from happening on your slides.
