[SHOT 2023] Newest Generation of the CZ 712 G3 Shotgun

The fine folks at CZ have brought out the newest iteration of their CZ 712 gas operated semi-auto shotgun. The new CZ 712 G3 is a multipurpose shotgun built to work well anywhere you need it, be it your home, the field, or the clay target course. This new shotgun comes with two pistons; a light-medium piston, and a heavy-magnum piston. This replaces the previous one size fits all piston system of the previous generation CZ 712 G2. Now the end user can easily adjust the piston to fit their needs. When the light piston is installed the CZ 712 G3 will cycle easily even with soft recoiling shot shells for target shooting. The CZ 712 G3 can take both 2 3/4″ and 3″ shotshells. The barrels on all four of the models of shotgun are chrome-lined to withstand extended firing and ensure consistent shot patterns with five provided extra-long Active-Choke tubes. The barrels are available in 20-inch, 26-inch, and 28-inch lengths. The CZ 712 G3’s receiver and barrel have a stylish, sturdy matte black finish that reduces glare on three of the models, matched with a synthetic black, wood, or camo stock. They are also available in a full Synthetic Camo Terra camo print configuration as well.

The CZ 712 G3 has improved controls over previous generations, with an extended charging handle and enlarged bolt release great for grabbing in a rush or with gloved hands. The trigger group comes from the CZ 1012 inertia shotgun, with the safety in front of the trigger to be more left-handed compatible. They will also ship with stock shims so they can be comfortably fitted to the shooter.
