ALPS OutdoorZ releases new -25° rated Redwood Sleeping Bag
Paul B. 10.05.22
With fall here winter is just around the corner. Released just in time is the ALPS OutdoorZ -25° Redwood sleeping bag. It only takes one camping trip to realize that temperature ratings are not suggestions but make the difference between freezing and a comfortable night’s sleep. With a -25° rating, take on winter camping in comfort.
Available in either tan or green, this sleeping bag has a solid color exterior and plaid interior with oversized construction to fit us full sized campers comfortably. At 38” W x 70” L the Redwood is the same as a standard Twin XL sized mattress. At 13lbs this sleeping bag is a bit on the heavier side making it ideal for overlanding, truck camping, base camp tents, and overnight hunters that bring most of their gear in via truck, ATV, or side-by-side.
The Redwood is a “heavy-duty” oversized rectangle bag. The Redwood series use Techloft Insulation. Techloft Insulation consists of multi-hole staple-length micro-denier fibers that have a siliconized finish for maximum insulation, loft, and compactness. The TechLoft insulation will keep you warm and toasty on those colder nights when you’d prefer to have more “wiggle room” than you get with your mummy bag. It uses 2-layer offset construction to eliminate cold spots. For transporting, we include 3 webbing straps with quick-release buckles that keep your “rolled-up bag” secure.
