POTD: PC Carbine Before it Was Cool – Marlin Camp Carbine

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have a firearm I was completely unaware of. This is the Marlin Camp Carbine in 45 ACP. These cool rifles were the Ruger PC Carbines before the concept was cool. That being said these were not the most popular although they were manufactured from 1985 until 1999. Their purpose was marketed as a camp carbine, survival gun, or all-around varmit/game getting in outdoorsy situations. You better believe I would review one for AllOutdoor if I had one on hand. They were made in both 9mm Parabellum and 45 ACP. Each caliber had its own modern magazine options. The 9mm would use any Smith & Wesson 59 series magazine and the 45 ACP would use any Colt Model 1911 style magazine.

Manufactured 1985-1999. Includes a matching box with papers.
