Just in time for the bear season, Remington Ammunition has just announced the introduction of the previously LEO-only Golden Saber 10mm ammunition. 10mm is widely recognized by hunters as one of the best calibers available for defense against wild game that can fight back like wild boar and bears. Remington’s new 10mm offerings will feature three different trims all optimized for specific performance out of the compact, defensive, and hunting applications and the ammunition should start showing up on store shelves soon.

10mm offers hunters specifically access to a more lethal cartridge against bears which tend to have very thick skulls, bones, and hides that prevent lighter projectiles from penetrating deep enough to cause enough damage. On that same note, those with self-defense in mind can take comfort in knowing that 10mm is still often the top choice for law enforcement, SWAT, and other operators often focused on special missions that involve conflict with armed and hostile individuals.
Golden Saber 10mm used to be a law-enforcement-only item but now regular customers can get their hands on three new types of Golden Saber 10mm that shares the same characteristics many of you will be familiar with in the rest of the Golden Saber family. This includes a lead core hot-bonded brass jacket, great weight retention, reduced bullet nose diameter for precise bore alignment, and match-grade accuracy. Golden Saber 10mm will be available in a 180-grain bullet weight only but will feature three different configurations including Golden Saber Bonded, Golden Saber Defense, and Golden Saber Defense Compact, each optimized for slightly different duties when it comes to 10mm handguns.
