When it comes to the 10mm cartridge there is a lot of buzz surrounding the round for its thunderous energy and power, but with all of that discussion there still exist few full-size options for shooters to choose from. Springfield Armory looks to improve upon that with a new iteration of their popular, high-class XD-M Elite series by unveiling a NEW 4.5″ OSP 10mm that comes with or without a Hex Dragonfly Red Dot mounted from the factory.

The XD-M Elite series is an upper tier version of their Xtreme Duty Match line of handguns bringing further enhancements that shooters and hunters alike request. Such boastful upgrades include a Match-Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META Trigger), optics ready and/or equipped, high-capacity, changeable backstraps, and changeable flared magwells.

Introducing the 10mm cartridge to this series will only open the door more capabilities in the realm of self-defense, home defense, hunting, recreation, and more. The MSRP for the base 10mm retails at $653 while the Hex Dragonfly Red Dot equipped version punches in at $837. As fall approaches, the 10mm cartridge becomes increasingly popular because of its Foot-Lbs of energy it generates for hunters who need a back-up gun in bear country.
