NEW 1911 Operator from Springfield Armory
To increase the strength and durability of their firearms, Springfield Armory has chosen to forge their frames and slides instead of casting them. The 1911 Operator features VZ Grips G10 grip panels for a positive purchase while firing the powerful .45 ACP cartridge. The gun is equipped with an accessory rail for mounting lights and other accessories. An ambidextrous thumb safety and grip safety are standard.
The slide includes forward serrations for ease of manipulation. Two eight-round magazines with bumper pads are included. Sitting on top is the Tactical Rack rear sight and its partner, a high-visibility tritium front sight. Line these up to get the most out of the forged stainless steel 5″ barrel. The whole thing is finished with an attractive black Cerakote finish, enhancing aesthetics as well as durability.
