The GX4 T.O.R.O features a primarily RMS pattern optics cut, but has a removable peg system similar to the Ruger Max-9 which allows the user to put other optics like a Holosun 407k or 507k on it without having to permanently modify the pistol. According to Taurus the GX4 T.O.R.O is compatible with the Shield RMSc, Sightmark Mini Shot A-Spec M3, Hex Wasp GE5077-MIC-RET, Sig RomeoZero, Riton 3 Tactix MPRD2, and the Trijicon RMRcc (with the optional adapter plate P/NL 20048396).

“Taurus is pleased to introduce the next iteration of its heralded GX4 micro-compact pistol, the Taurus GX4™ T.O.R.O. The new GX4 T.O.R.O. adopts the Taurus Optic Ready Option mounting system, which facilitates mounting of several popular micro-red dot sights. The T.O.R.O. system is designed around a factory optic-cut slide for those who desire the advantages of a low-print EDC handgun and the confident sight picture of a red dot. The GX4 T.O.R.O. also comes with a flush-mount slide cover plate for use with the non-optic option.”

Other than the optics upgrade, the GX4 remains the same exact pistol, although, Taurus will be shipping the GX4 T.O.R.O with one flush fit magazine as well as one extended 13-round magazine instead of the two flush-fit magazines that come with the standard GX4 (versions with two 10-round magazines are also available). The GX4 T.O.R.O will sell for an MSRP of $468.18 which is about $76 more expensive than the standard version. What do you guys think of this latest iteration of the GX4?
