The year of 2020 is like a black-eye that we would all like to soon forget, but from unprecedented circumstances can often come unexpected possibilities. The year of COVID uprooted all of us from our daily routines and pleasures forcing us to find a new rhythm to life. A small group of veterans and friends from Minneapolis, Minnesota found themselves meeting together over bonfires and cigars to wade through early lockdowns in 2020. This served as a “surprising catalyst for connection” – in the words of Founders Cigar Company – and lead to the eventual start of their now thriving business.
Cigars, firearms, and the history of this country are entwined together like a richly layered… cigar… and that is where the MN veterans drew their inspiration from in the name of Founders Cigar Company and in crafting all of the cigars in their current portfolio. The gentlemen from Founders explained the origin of their company further in this excerpt off of their website below:

At the moment, there are 4 uniquely different cigars you can choose from to fill your personal humidor. They are sold in packages of 5, 10, or 15 cigars at a time with size options of 5×50, 6×52, and 7×48. The most modest packages of 5 cigars at a time retail for $47.49 – $52.49 depending on the size you choose. Those options are listed below:
Personally, I am a native of central Minnesota so it is phenomenal to see a year we’d like to forget bring forth such a great, historically-minded company such as this. Cigars are typically a 2 or 3 times a year occurrence for me, but I may need to bump those numbers up knowing Founders Cigar Company is in my neck of the woods.
