POTD: People Think 10 Gauge is Big – Snider Style 4 Bore Punt Gun

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Boom! Man, it would be amazing to experience shooting a punt gun. If you are not familiar with punt guns they are typically very large-scale versions of generic, regular muzzleloading rifles. The big difference, pun intended, is that these are not rifles, but rather they are shotguns. The sporting man of the past would haul these gigantic gats to a boat usually fitted with a grove or swivel to support such enormities and then they would go duck hunting. What do you do if you live in a time where a Winchester SX4 is not available? Punt Gun!
