Video: Henry Axe 410 Smoothbore by 22plinkster
Russ Chastain 02.13.20
Last month, we talked about the new “Axe” from Henry Repeating Arms, which is essentially a short lever-action 410 shotgun without a full shoulder stock. Read more about it by clicking here.
Today, we’re looking at a new “Henry TV” video by 22plinkster, which spends 5 minutes looking at the Axe.
He spends about a minute and a half going over the features of the Axe, then puts it to work busting clay targets. He utterly smokes a couple of them.
Then he slings a few rifled slugs out there, and even hits a plate at 100 yards. Not bad with a smoothbore barrel less than 16 inches long!
After that he fires some 000 buckshot containing three pellets (no, 22plinkster, they’re not “BBs”). The gun seems pretty easy to run.
This looks like a really cool gun and I would love to have one, but I believe the $970 MSRP will limit the Axe’s market. What do you think?
