$4600 Scope Shock Test Video

This video shows a machine the optics manufacturer Tangent Theta uses for shock test. Each scope is dropped 1000 times sustaining 1000G of gravitational force per drop. There are numerous other tests being done to each scope before it leaves the factory, but this is just a rare glimpse to what it takes to produce $4600 USD (Yes, you read that correctly.) military grade scopes that are designed to function in -45C degrees (-49F).
