Watch: How to Make a Knife Out of Aluminum Foil

Kiwami Japan is an interesting channel if you happen to enjoy watching an especially creative person make knives out of strange things. And while chocolate, pasta and wood knives are curious oddities, it’s his most recent creation that really caught my attention: aluminum foil.
While I don’t imagine it will keep its edge for long, the process of turning a $3 roll of aluminum foil into knife with an absolutely stunning-looking mirrored edge is fantastic to watch.
The best part is it was all done with basic tools, including a couple of saws, rasps, and a kitchen stove. Of course, he finished things off with a very pricey set of whetstones starting at #150 and going all the way up to #30,000.
