Watch: How to Glass Bed a Rifle Stock

Knowing how to do something makes it a heck of a lot easier to do. And yeah I know that’s a “duh” statement, but these three minutes might tell you whether glass bedding is something you’re willing to undertake, or not.

Sadly, the background flute music so typical of these MidwayUSA videos is present. Why do people think viewer want music to distract us from the voiceover? Still, it contains a brief overview of the bedding process, and the results are impressive.

Glass bedding is done to ensure a great fit between the receiver and the stock. Usually, the barrel is left free-floating, as Larry does here.

Enjoy!
