LRB Arms Non-Removable Magazine AR-15 Prototype

The AR-15 is the most popular rifle in America but those shooters who live in states with severe restrictions on the gun have to put up with a variety of limitations on their rifles. These types of laws typically include restrictions on common features such as pistol grips, non-thumbhole stocks, detachable box magazines, and limitations on magazine capacity.
As a response the firearms industry has created a sub-species of “Cali-Compliant” or “NY Safe Act Compliant” AR-15 style rifles with modifications that eliminate the banned features to make the rifles legal for citizens in those states.
At the 2018 SHOT Show LRB Arms demonstrated a prototype AR-15 style rifle designed specifically for those “behind enemy lines” in states with harsh gun control laws. The innovative feature on the LRB prototype is that it uses an AR-15 lower with an integral magazine that can not accept a detachable box magazine. This allows the rifle to retain other common AR characteristics such as the pistol grip and standard furniture.
