New Options in Pistol-Caliber Carbines

Many of the 9mm AR carbines lack automatic bolt hold-open on the last shot. Some that do use a thin stamped activated that proved prone to breakage. Yankee Hill Machine just introduced an upper and Glock-compatible 9mm lower that that uses an externally placed lever for activating the bolt stop/release paddle.
In a very different path to similar functionality, Lone Wolf Distributors adapted the second-generation SCA45 (above) as Alpha Wolf PCC. With slighter changes, the short stroke gas piston design takes Glock magazines and will be available in 9mm, 10mm and 45ACP. The ergonomics are excellent, the gun is compatible with readily available accessories, and locked breech operation reduces felt recoil to negligible. Alpha Wolf is also available in all calibers as a pistol.
