Watch: How to Build an Igloo

Have you ever been out in the wild and wished you had an igloo? I sure have–while sweating buckets in the summer heat of Florida and Georgia! I really can’t identify with life in the snow… but I have always admired the way snow can be used to build things.

This is a pretty good video, showing how one man builds an igloo. His voiceover contains helpful hints and tips… and if I lived where there was a lot of snow, I would be tempted to get out there and build me one this winter.

This might be a great skill to have, if you find yourself out in the cold in need of shelter. Just be sure to allocate plenty of time; he said this one took him 7 hours to build.
