Winchester Long Beard XR Turkey Ammo Now Available in 20 Gauge

A couple years ago, I reported here about Winchester’s then-new 12 gauge Long Beard XR shotgun ammo for turkey hunting. It provided excellent results when I fired it at the 2015 SHOT Show range day.
A few months later later, I posted a range report about the extensive testing I’d done of the ammo, which made even my old 1930s over/under shotgun with full and modified chokes into a reliable 60-yard turkey-slayer.
During spring turkey season the following year, I finally managed to connect with a gobbler using that ammo, and it did a fine job.
Well, Winchester has now come out with Long Beard XR ammo in 20 gauge. I fired some at the 2017 SHOT Show Range Day, and put five pellets in the kill zone at 40 yards. That, my friends, is pretty good with a 20 gauge.
The new 20 gauge ammo comes in either 5 or 6 shot, both of which are rated at 1,000 fps with 1-1/4 ounces of shot, and they come in boxes of 10.
