Watch: Unusual Offset “Cripple Stock” Shotgun

There are many weird things in the world, and this gun is one of them. It’s also oddly beautiful.

It’s a fine shotgun with a curved stock, designed to be shouldered on one’s right shoulder but aimed or sighted with the left eye.

Why? Well, perhaps the owner was right-handed but left-eye-dominant, maybe he was missing his right eye, or maybe he was missing his left hand AND his right eye.

Or maybe he was just a southpaw who had a weak left shoulder. There’s really no telling.

But the gun itself is pretty neat; check it out below.
