Advantage Tactical Sight COSUB Sight at the 2016 SHOT Show

Advantage Tactical Sights makes and markets a unique “pyramid” style sighting system for handguns. The sights replace your standard sights, and the theory is that lining up the front and rear to form a pyramid is quicker and easier than obtaining a conventional sight picture.
At the 2016 SHOT Show ATS demonstrated their new rifle sight, the COSUB, which stands for “Co-Witness Submachine Gun Sight.” The sight uses the same pyramid mechanism and is designed to mount on the front rail of your rifle and be set up for 1/3 lower co-witness. The COSBUT starts at $139.49 retail.
Although I got to handle the sight mounted on a dummy rifle on the show floor, ATS was not at the range day so I do not get a chance to try it with live fire. While the design is interesting in theory, in practice I’d want to run some tests to see if it truly offers any advantages over traditional BUIS on an AR.
In the video the inventor of the sight goes over the features and how it works.
