Nighthawk Custom Browning High Power at the 2016 SHOT Show

In an industry dominated by striker-fired plastic guns, there is still room for a classic steel and wood pistol such as the Browning High Power.

The folks at Nighthawk Custom are a fan of the design and the shop, which normally specializes in custom 1911 pistols, announced their take on the masterpiece of John Browning and FN’s Dieudonne Saive at the 2016 SHOT Show.

I was able to handle the gun and the quality workmanship was evident.

The Nighthawk Custom website outlines the custom touches on the base FN Mk III version of the pistol:

Hand Textured(Stippled) Frame and Trigger Guard
Hand Textured Slide Top and Rear of the Slide
Custom Extended Beavertail
Contoured Magwell
