How to Weld Using Car Batteries & Jumper Cables (Video)

Anyone who spends much time in the great outdoors knows that it pays to be prepared, because things break and there are no repair shops where we like to go.

Clearly, being prepared can only go so far. I mean, carrying a generator and a welder along isn’t something most off-roaders can do. But by adding a few welding rods, some gloves, and a welding hood or mask to your usual equipment, you just might be able to weld together a broken vehicle well enough to get it back to the pavement.

This fellow shows you how to use some 12 volt batteries, some wire, and a pair of jumper cables to weld steel. Pretty good info, if you ask me.
