DIY: Too Much Time on Your Hands? Paint Your Gun.

Hmmmm. Some people may have too much time on their hands.

Take Reddit user mustardtiger56 for example. A recent Reddit post and photos on Imgur show how patience and time (“4 hours more or less”) can produce a unique and unusual firearm finish. He said he used ultra flat Krylon spray paint to paint his .17 HMR rifle, and he added “Irregular hexagon pattern with netting pattern in each olive drab hexagon. I did this because I wanted something other than the standard netting and/or foliage patterns most use to paint rifles. Let me know what you think.”

Here's an overall pic of the hexagon-painted rifle

I can’t say this paint job thrills me personally, but it’s definitely different. What do you think of it?
